Teardown: hand/stand mixer

Teardown # 2
During studios in Praxis I, the first two teardowns opened us a window of engineering designs, in which, we as pre-engineering designers, learnt from the experience by looking how professionals applied engineering designs

In the second teardown of Hamilton hand/stand mixer, some highlighted design features, which are referred to design for safety, usability and manufacture, were recognized by my partner and me. We discovered that both features inside and outside the mixer are designed to meet the key design decisions (IE the curved handle with 6-speed controller is designed for usability, while the fan with gears is the major power supply, at the same time designed for ventilation and safety)

To maintain even higher standard of safety, an appropriate adjustment on the location and functionality of the Quickburst button could result in a safer and more usable design.
